Golf Course Maintenance

 

Each year Muscat Hills put into practice a plan to continually improve the playing condition and characteristics of the course. Our goals are to meet the players’ expectations and offer excellent playing conditions.
The two types of Bermuda grass used on Muscat Hills golf course are:
  • “Cynodon Dactylon” otherwise known Princess 77 Bermuda in the rough,  fairways and tee box complexes
  • ”Hybrid Bermuda” otherwise known as Tiffdawrf on the greens
2014 Objectives:

Reconstruction of bunkers and replace the current sand with a quality crushed marble chip material - Approximately 4 holes to change
Addition to cart path key ride off areas to be improved on holes 3 10, 11, 16 and 17
 
Golf course project to follow over the next 6 months (January-June):
  • Bunker construction continues, holes 2, 6,15 - largest bunkers on the golf course
  • Grass left hand side of the 10th hole and widen fairway
  • Cart Path construction continues
  • Addition of protective netting on driving range
